Library Rules and Regulation
Library is a temple of learning & knowledge, all of us should cooperate in maintaining its sanctity& make best use of it. All requested to strictly follow the rules and regulations given below.
The books tagged as “Reference book/ Not to be issued” will be issued for reference purpose inside library only.
Books from the reference section will not be issued in any case to any member including the staff and students.
Students are not allowed to bring any textbook or study material or any other belonging to the library. However they can take their own text books in the reading room”.
Notepad is allowed inside the library.
Each student can borrow a maximum of Four books against his/ her library cards for fourteen days only.
Re-Issue of books will not be allowed on the day of return.
Re –Issue / return of books will be done till 9:30 to 5:00 pm from Monday to Friday.
Library will charge Rs.5 per day as overdue charge for each book not returned by the due date subject to the maximum charge of the cost of book.
If any books is not returned within 5 working days after the due date, no book will be issued to that student till the book(s) due is/are returned.
In Case of book lost due to mishandling by student the cost of book and penalty charge will be 50 % cost of book.
A reserved book will be held on return for only one day after it is received in the library.
The Librarian may re-call a book at any time, even before its due date.
Books should be handled with care, NO marking with pen or pencil should be made in any book.
If aissued book is found with pages missing / torn / damaged or lost the student has to pay double the cost of the book.
The visiting faculty / non-teaching staff will be issued not more than two books at a time for a period of two week.
The faculty members will be issued 8 books for a period of one month.
Any item taken out of the library may be checked by the security personnel at the exit.
All the mobile or cell phone must be switched off in the library and reading room.
No eatables are allowed in the library.
Students will be allowed in proper dresses (shorts and sleepers are not allowed).
